"Creepin' Up Slowly" is the first single and the third track from the album Garage Mahal, by the Melbourne band Taxiride. This single was released on 10 June 2002. The song was recorded in Ocean Way Studios, Los Angeles, and produced by Jack Joseph Puig, as with all their previous singles. This song became Taxiride's second Top 10 hit, reaching No. 6 on the ARIA singles chart.
Taxiride's first album 'Imaginate' debuted at number 1 in Australia in October 1999. It was produced by Jack Joseph Puig, and recorded at Ocean Way in 1998/1999.The singles released on 'Imaginate' included 'Get Set' (number 8, April 1999) and 'Everywhere You Go' (number 16, July 1999). 'Garage Mahal' was the second Taxiride album, recorded at various studios in Los Angeles (not including Ocean Way, and not involving Puig) in late 2001/early 2002. The album was produced by producer/drummer Fred Maher (ex - Scritti Politti), with production assistance from Taxiride. It reached number 5 on the ARIA album charts. The single 'Creepin' Up Slowly' was one of three singles released from the album, and made it to number 6.
